Become a G4G Ally

Join a community of dedicated leaders making a real difference. As a G4G Ally, you serve as a vital connection between our mission and the local community. Allies offer a convenient neighborhood drop-off point for donations, making it easier for others to contribute and get involved.

But being an Ally goes beyond logistics — it’s about leadership and impact.

G4G Allies:

  • Provide a local drop-off location for donations
  • Help plan and support G4G projects
  • Actively participate in at least two projects per year
  • Attend bi-monthly Zoom team meetings
  • Spread the word about G4G’s mission within their networks—family, friends, workplaces, schools, and more

Be A Sponsor

At G4G, our sponsors play a vital role in helping us bring essential goods and services to the communities we serve. By becoming a sponsor, you’re not just supporting a nonprofit—you’re joining a mission to create real, measurable change.

Whether you’re a small business, a corporation, or an individual looking to make a difference, we offer a range of sponsorship opportunities tailored to your goals and values.

As a sponsor, you can:

  • Support specific projects or events
  • Help expand our outreach and programming
  • Gain visibility and recognition through our platforms
  • Align your brand with a cause that matters

We’d love to explore a partnership that works for you.

Volunteer in Projects

G4G was created to make volunteering easy and accessible for everyone — with as few barriers as possible to Doing Good! We offer two ways to get involved:

Monthly Projects – fun, hands-on volunteer opportunities tailored to fill specific community needs.

Each month, G4G focuses on a specific community need — and you’re invited to jump in! Monthly Projects last the duration of a month and often support a particular group or population. There are always several ways to get involved, and most projects are family-friendly and perfect for all ages. Join for one project or all twelve throughout the year — come and go as your schedule allows!

  • Example: Boo in a Box – our October project that brings Halloween fun to children and families living in shelters. You can:
  • Sign up to create a kit (or several!)
  • Join a middle or high school group activity at G4G (if age-appropriate) to help assemble kits
  • Volunteer at Halloween parties in local shelters
  • Donate funds or sponsor the project

Year-Round Programming – ongoing initiatives that make a lasting impact in our community.

Our Year-Round Programming includes ongoing projects that address continual needs within the community. Opportunities are offered every week of the year, allowing volunteers to participate as often as they wish.

Projects include:

  • Preparing and delivering meals for partner shelters
  • Creating Birthday in a Box kits for children in shelters
  • Volunteering in our clothing and toy pantries
  • Examples of participation include working a two-hour pantry shift weekly or monthly, preparing and serving a meal with family or friends, or helping at our monthly clothing and toy “pop-up” events that give community members free access to essential items.

If you’re ready to Do Good, jump on in anywhere and at any time or fill out our Adult Volunteer Interest Form and we’ll be in touch soon!

Skill-Based Volunteering

Use Your Skills to Make an Impact. We welcome individuals with unique skills and talents who want to help us amplify our impact and strengthen our mission. Whether you’re a professional, student, or passionate community member, your expertise can make a real difference.

We’re especially looking for volunteers with experience in:

  • Marketing & Social Media
  • Grant Writing
  • Fundraising
  • In-Kind Donation Solicitation
  • Photography & Videography
  • Community Organizing
  • And more!

If you’re ready to use your skills for good, we’d love to hear from you. Fill out our Adult Volunteer Interest Form and we’ll be in touch soon!

Be a Driver For Good

Help us get essential items where they’re needed most. Our monthly projects often result in hundreds—sometimes thousands—of donated goods, homemade meals, and supplies for individuals and families in need. As a Driver for Good, you play a crucial role in making sure those items reach their destinations.

How it works:
You’ll receive notifications when transportation help is needed, and you can sign up based on your availability—whether it’s once a month or more frequently.

Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Have a valid driver’s license
  • Have access to a reliable vehicle

Be a Student Volunteer

Make a difference—on your own or with a group—and earn community service hours while supporting those in need.

There are many ways for students to join the G4G movement:

  • Join an existing G4G project and be part of the action.
  • Lead your own drive or collection—such as winter clothing, birthday boxes, toys/stuffed animals, or gently used clothes.
  • Be a Connector: rally your school, class, club, neighborhood, religious group, or family business to support a G4G initiative.
  • Fundraise for G4G by hosting a bake sale, selling handmade or secondhand items, organizing an event, or choosing G4G as the beneficiary of a walkathon, read-a-thon, or other creative effort.

Whatever you choose, G4G will support you every step of the way. Our goal is to make your experience fun, educational, and rewarding—for you and for the communities we serve. Fill out our Student Interest Form and we’ll be in touch soon!

Examples of Youth in Action

We’re continually inspired by the creativity, compassion, and leadership of the young people who power so many of our projects. From solo initiatives to group efforts, students and youth volunteers are making a real difference in their communities. Here are just a few examples of their incredible contributions:

  • Lila (age 12) created 8 Birthday-in-a-Box kits for children living in shelters as part of her Bat Mitzvah community service project.
  • Charlotte and Maya (age 16) served as Student Leaders for our Bear Hug Drive, collecting over 400 stuffed animals for children in shelters and at Children’s Hospital.
  • Rose (age 17) regularly cooks and delivers 6 homemade meals to women and families at one of our partner shelters.
  • Charlie, Aaron, DeAndre, and Phillip (age 16) collected gently used sneakers, sold them on Depop, and donated the $325 they raised to help fund holiday gifts for families in shelters.
  • Cynthia (age 15) organized a neighborhood winter accessories drive, collecting 50 scarves, hats, gloves, and more for individuals experiencing homelessness.

These young changemakers are proof that age is no barrier to making a big impact. Whether you’re starting a project of your own or joining an existing one, your passion and creativity can help change lives.
