Why We Do GOOD

G4G, responding to the impact of Covid in 2020, was created to help meet the increased needs of the most vulnerable populations in the Washington, DC area. Food insecurity, homelessness, joblessness, and health challenges were reaching an all-time peak, especially among communities of color. At the same time, many nonprofits on the front lines had to do much more with much less: reduced staff and volunteers, increased clientele and demand,  and limited funds. Two and a half years later, these struggles remain with no end in sight.
