G4G’s clothing pantry is small but powerful, serving anyone in need across the DMV area. In 2024 alone, we provided high-quality, gently used and new clothing to more than 3,200 low-income and vulnerable neighbors—from children to seniors. We also provide basic hygiene items and baby supplies.

Over 30 community-based nonprofits refer individuals and families to our pantry, while many others find us through word of mouth. It’s a vital, trusted resource in our community.

While most of our inventory comes from generous community donations, we have to purchase some essential items—like new underwear, socks, and backpacks. We also consistently face shortages in medium sizes for both men and women, which are always in high demand.

Help Us Keep the Shelves Full

Sponsorship keeps the pantry running smoothly and stocked with what’s most needed. Your support allows us to maintain inventory, provide critical items we can’t accept used, and operate the pantry efficiently.

Become a Named Sponsor

A $10,000 annual sponsorship includes exclusive naming rights—your name or organization will be proudly displayed in the pantry space and featured across all G4G promotional materials throughout the year, including our website, email communications, social media, and community listservs (e.g., The Brown Family Clothing Pantry or Doggert & Wilson Law Firm Clothing Pantry).

Introducing G4G’s New “Wheel of Good Fortune,”  a fun way to inspire giving and awareness!

G4G is excited to launch our new Wheel of Good Fortune, an interactive, educational game that will travel with us to school fairs, community events, and local festivals throughout the year.

We designed this activity to be fun for all ages while raising awareness about the real challenges our vulnerable neighbors face every day.

How it Works:

Participants spin the wheel to land on a dollar amount, then explore key areas of need in the community—such as housing, food insecurity, mental health support, and access to basic essentials. Using a token that matches their dollar amount, they ‘donate’ by placing it into the jar representing the cause they feel most compelled to support. G4G then converts these token choices into real purchases that directly address the specific community needs described on each jar.

Thanks to the generosity of our sponsor, all funds used in the game are fully covered—allowing participants, regardless of background, to meaningfully engage in the act of giving and learning without any personal financial cost.

Toys support physical, mental, and emotional growth, and no child—regardless of their circumstances—should go without. That’s why G4G is collecting new and gently used toys throughout the month to ensure every child we serve has access to meaningful play.

New underwear and socks are some of the most urgently needed—and most frequently requested—items by our neighbors in need.

While G4G distributes these essentials through our clothing pantry, we depend on dedicated funding to keep them stocked year-round. Because we only provide new items—and the need is constant—ongoing support is critical.

G4G’s Comfort Casserole Project mobilizes volunteers to prepare hearty casseroles that are distributed to unhoused individuals, families in transitional housing, newly arrived refugee neighbors, and seniors and families facing food insecurity.
